TERMS OF USE

The terms and conditions that apply to the use of this website and the services of BECOME® Institute.

These terms of use govern your access to and use of the BECOME® Institute website. By using this website, you accept these terms. Last updated: July 2026.

1. Intellectual property

All content on this website, including text, images, logos, the BECOME® name, the BECOME® Framework, the BECOME® Ontology and related materials, is the intellectual property of BECOME® Institute or its licensors. You may not reproduce, distribute or modify this content without prior written permission.

2. Use of the website

You may use this website for lawful, non-commercial personal or internal business purposes. You may not use the website in any way that could damage, disable or impair it, or that interferes with others’ use.

3. Prices and payment

All prices are exclusive of VAT unless stated otherwise. Payment is made in full at the moment of purchase through our online shop. For invoiced orders outside the shop, payment is due within 21 days of the invoice date. A booking is only confirmed once payment has been received.

4. Physical products: shipping and returns

Shipping costs are always borne by the customer and are shown at checkout as a fixed rate per region and package type (all excluding VAT). Thin items that fit in an envelope — individual pads (up to three) and the divider set — are charged at € 4.95 within the Netherlands, € 9.95 within Europe and € 19.95 for the rest of the world. Boxed shipments — the BECOME® Journal systems and orders of four or more pads — are charged at € 6.95 within the Netherlands, € 12.95 within Europe and € 24.95 for the rest of the world. Risk of loss passes to the customer upon delivery by the carrier.

Consumers within the EU may withdraw from the purchase of a physical product within 14 days of receipt, without giving a reason. The product must be returned unused, undamaged and in its original packaging. The direct costs of returning the product are borne by the customer. Once the return has been received and inspected, the purchase price of the product (excluding the original shipping costs) is refunded within 14 days. Products that have been used, written in or otherwise personalised cannot be returned.

5. BECOME® Academy: enrolment, rescheduling and no cancellation

An enrolment in a BECOME® Academy programme is the purchase of a seat in a specific cohort on a fixed date. Cohorts run on the basis of the number of confirmed participants, and capacity that is reserved cannot be resold at short notice. For that reason the following conditions apply and are accepted at the moment of purchase:

  • Payment is made in full at the moment of enrolment. The seat is only reserved once payment has been received.
  • Enrolments cannot be cancelled and payments are non-refundable.
  • Participation may be rescheduled to a later cohort of the same programme, subject to availability:
    • more than 90 days before the start date: rescheduling is possible against payment of 50% of the programme fee as compensation;
    • within 90 days of the start date: rescheduling is only possible against payment of 100% of the programme fee as compensation.
  • A participant may be replaced by another participant from the same organisation at no additional cost, provided this is notified in writing before the start date.
  • If BECOME® Institute cancels or reschedules a cohort, the participant may choose between a place in a later cohort or a full refund of the amount paid.

Because a seat is reserved and made available exclusively for the participant on a fixed date, the statutory right of withdrawal does not apply to the purchase of leisure or event services tied to a specific date (Article 6:230p of the Dutch Civil Code). Where a right of withdrawal would nevertheless apply, the participant expressly requests performance to commence and expressly waives that right at the moment of enrolment.

6. Dedicated programmes and in-company work

Dedicated BECOME® Programs and in-company trajectories are confirmed by a separate agreement. Payment is due within 21 days of the invoice date, and agreed dates are only fixed once payment has been received. Rescheduling of confirmed dates more than 90 days before the start date is possible against 50% compensation; within 90 days of the start date against 100% compensation. Confirmed dates cannot be cancelled.

7. Liability

BECOME® Institute strives to keep the information on this website accurate and up to date, but does not guarantee completeness or accuracy. We are not liable for any loss or damage arising from the use of this website.

8. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands. Any disputes shall be submitted to the competent court in Amsterdam.
